My journey started a few years back when I grabbed a camera and I got sucked into the online world.

PHOTORIZED

I decided to build up Photorized as a way to learn how web development works and try everything that goes along with it, social media, hosting, marketing and so on. I’m also working on a app for this project using Ionic Framework.

It proved to be a good choice since relying on other platforms , even free, like Facebook for photos or YouTube for videos can sometimes be tricky or just a bad experience.

The websites serves me as a way to keep track of my journey of my hobbies as a amateur photographer and videographer in Belgium and the neighbouring countries also to practice different tools for web development.

Alpha version on Android

PHOTORIZED APP

The Photorized App has been built using Ionic Framework so I can easily launch it on Android and iOS. At the moment the app is being redone using React Native.

The app is split in 4 tabs : Home , Events, Community, Shops.

Beside using Ionic Framework I have also created a database to store the data and and created an API so that the app can read and display data on the user’s phone, such as the Events, Community and Shops tabs.

Besides the app, API and database I have also built a CRUD application to manage the database which allows me to easily insert, update or delete events or any other data.

So, this has been one of my biggest personal projects and I have used:

FIRST TIME GETTING PUBLISHED

Early 2022 I have been contacted to take some pictures of a rare car for a magazine.

The car in question is a Mini Cooper S GP, a rare model that has been fully restored after being flooded in 2021.

For this article I did the photo shoot, with the “classic” look with no extra editing and also translated a part of the article.

After this shoot I have been contacted again to do some more car photography for some future articles, and what can I say, it felt a bit surreal.

For something that started as a hobby and to getting published, I mean, it is insane thinking that some of my photos would appear in a magazine in another country and seen by thousands, on paper.

So once I got sent a file with the article that was going to be published I insantly printed it and framed.

RESUME GENERATOR 3000

A basic resume generator.

I built this app so it would help my mom to generate simple PDF CVs to apply quickly on some jobs on the internet.

PDF exporting is being done with Mpdf.

More features will be added in the future.
